That tattoo is actually one I found on flickr common license images. My tattoo is of the poppies (second image). The others are ones I liked that I wanted to share with my readers. :)

Ha, centimeters! That's right. Silly US and it's Imperialistic system is rotting my mind. ;) Either way, at least a 36 does equal that amount in Europe. Why can't the US measure correctly? If you're saying it's 29 inches wide, dude, last I checked there's only one length that's 29 inches. Bah.

It is more expensive - except Europe H&M is way cheaper than the US one! Definitely better quality, though. But ack, 80s?! Tell Germany that died out 20-25 years ago... ;)

inches in Europe??? you meant centimeters right- metric system? And I agree with the large sway in sizes for the US. Its hard to order by mail here because I just dont know if a size 6 really is a 6 or is it an 8?? But I will say for the European side I do have a couple of complaints. You will never find anything at the prices you can find in the states - grant it the quality is better. But if I am just buying a t-shirt I dont want to spend 40 euros. I rather order from Old Navy and pay 10 bucks for something like that. Dresses, jackets, and for a nice fit in pants yeah the 60-70 euros are ok. But my OTHER complaint about European clothes - they favor the skinny leg jean thing and bright 80s prints glam/rock prints. Both are just not my thing -

Too many companies are moving to this sizing set-up. It's sad that they'd do that and even put up a chart telling you what your size means you should fit. I'll never be a size 27 thanks to wide hips that I love, and I don't even want to get started on those size 19s I've seen around. Yikes.

I do understand some women are naturally very slender, and that's fine; I just see this new way to size pants as the dangerous start to a lot of poor self-image ideals among women (particularly younger women or women with a history of eating disorders). Sigh.
